{ Passionate Storm } – Natalia and Will’s Wedding at Firesky Resort

Natalia and Will were married this past weekend at the beautiful Firesky Resort and Spa in Scottsdale Arizona. The night was full of surprises to say the least! Just as Natalia was to walk down the aisle, the sky turned black and a huge gust of wind came blowing in, causing all of Natalia’s flower arrangements to crash onto the ground, prompting some mazel tov’s amongst the guests. However, the tears filling Natalia’s eyes, were not because a huge monsoon was about to let loose, her tears were because she was walking towards a wonderful man, who was about to become her husband. I can tell these two are a great match, full of passion and spunk. The ceremony was a bit hyphenated, and it was a good thing, because just as Natalia and Will walked back down the aisle as husband and wife, the sky began to POUR. It was walls and walls of blinding water. Miraculously, everyone made it inside dry and the night went off wonderfully. The dancing, food and decor represented Natalia’s culture perfectly and was a nice treat for her friends and family. { Tiffany and Chocolate} – Becca and Mike’s Wedding at Firesky Resort

What more can a girl want? Tiffany Blue, chocolate brown, a super slimming dress, Jimmy Choo’s and the man of her dreams on her arm. It is a Fairy Tale we all dream about, that Mike and Becca realized this past Saturday when they were wed at the gorgeous Firesky Resort in Scottsdale Arizona. Yes, it was an August wedding, but Surprisingly, the weather was very nice. We were blessed with high ninety’s( which compared to 115 was awesome!). And the monsoon rains held off until their outdoor ceremony was complete and all the guests were safely inside the gorgeous ballroom decorated by Avant-Garde studios. A huge Congrats to the newlyweds! Thank you for having me as a part of your celebration.

{ A Night at the Movies } – Christina and John at Villa Sienna

Now let me tell you, the last wedding of the season, was one to remember. Christina and John made sure to end things with a Bang! Being photographers themselves, I felt a little pressure, I am not gonna lie. You always want to perform your best, but when your client is a photographer, there is extra pressure. Christina must have known that and wanted to break the ice for me. She must have thought starting the wedding ceremony an hour and a half late would do the job, lol. While most weddings never start on time, they are usually off by 10-15 minutes. This was a record breaker by a long shot. It all worked out fine in he end though, Christina got to marry her knight in shinning armor with her queen by her side

Now because we started the evening late, I literally had, oh negative 10 minutes to put together some formal shots for the two of them, and I am not joking. The stress was tremendous, but we managed to grab a few minutes of time out in the courtyard at Villa Sienna before they made their grand entrance. Once in the ballroom, the details were so well executed. It was a simple elegance, a classy trip back in time to the moves. The bow tie tuxedos, the 1940′s music, dark rich wood walls and crystal chandeliers were all amazing additions to the atmosphere, but it was the small details I loved. The escort cards were movie tickets that Christina and John had designed. Each ticket listed a movie with a table number, and that table correspond to the movie the guest was admitted to. Their guest book was loose postcards, designed with black and white stills form old classic moves. They were super cute and totally unique. The funniest part of the night, to me anyways, was then John gave a story about Chistina’s friend whose cultural tradition is to offer livestock for the daughters hand in marriage. John then stated, he decided that Christina is worth one goat, and proceeded to have the chef present Christina’s father with a cake topped with, one goat!.. haha

Well enough of my babbling, onto the photos. Thank you again for having me be a part of your wedding day! It was one I will never forget

{ Spunky } – Amy and Cassidy Marry on the Red Rocks of Sedona

What a beautiful wedding it was! Amy and Cassidy are some of my favorite people. So FUNNY, sweet, honest and in love. It is just amazing to see them together.. these two know how to keep the passion in their relationship, and it shows with every glance they take of each other. I had the opportunity to photograph their wedding at the red Rock Crossing in Sedona this past weekend. It was a perfect day, weather was in the low 80′s IN JUNE PEOPLE!!, location was gorgeous and everyone was just in the best mood. Special thanks to the awesome vendors I got to work with.. they were all SOOOO friendly and great to work with:

{ Hot } – Martha and Dustin at Oakwood Country Club

So now that wedding season has ended for me, Martha and Dustin get the official badge of hottest wedding of the season. I think it reached 109 degrees on their wedding day. And it was by FAR the hottest day I worked this season by about 10 degrees! I had quite a fun time dodging trouble during the ceremony, the rules were strict, and It was tough, but I went incognito and snuck some photos when I wasn’t supposed to.. I know.. I;m such a rebel, lol! Not really. Usually I am super respectful of the church’s rules, but sometimes, when they are too strict, I have to break them in order to get the client what they want. The country club was gorgeous, nice large room so no one was bumping into each other, or feeling crammed in. Dustin and Martha even surprised everyone with a live band AND a DJ.. it was fun! I never second shoot, I am almost always the main photographer behind the action, but I couldn’t refuse the opportunity when my fabulous friend Jeanette asked me to shoot a GORGEOUS couple at a GORGEOUS venue, Sassi in Scottsdale. I loved being the right hand man, it was so liberating to be able to see things from a different point of view, and it reminded me to look outside of the main events for those special moments that happen. Heather planned a beautiful butterfly garden themed wedding at Paradise Valley’s El Chorro Lodge. The details were stunning, from the chocolate peddle cake from Julia Baker Confections, to the stunning floral arrangement done by avent garden followed up by the amazing tale of the live band, The Instant Classics, the night was PURE MAGIC. Heather and Max are just such an easy going and fun couple to be around. They definitely made my job easy by providing and amazing venue, attitude and their gorgeous looks don’t hurt either. { Colorado Views } – Allison and Steve’s Durango Wedding

So here they are, the culprits behind my neglected blog posts – Allison and Steve. They kept me from you all for a while, but they realized they cant keep me to themselves and let me go, j/k. I did have to spend a little more time away for their wedding than usual, but i wont complain. The Durango weather and the gorgeous Colorado views more than made up for my time away from work. And for those of you who know what a work-a-holic I am, you will understand that it takes an amazing place to get me to relax. Durango was awesome! Thank you guys so much for including me as a part of your special day. I felt right at home with your close friends and family. It was such a relaxing wedding, no drama, beautiful views, easy going bride and groom and a group of hilarious guests. What more could a girl want.. Oh did I mention Allison jumped in the lake in her wedding gown? Yes, life is rough!

{ Sunshine } – Lori and Matt at Anthem Country Club

Another long overdue wedding post. I usually am on top of the blog, but having been out of town for a week or so, things got a little behind. I hope Lori and Matt will forgive me You probably recognise these two from their previous sessions. They are another one of my fabulous bride and grooms who love to have their photo taken. These two are absolutely the best together. I know I say that a lot, and I always mean it. I just have so many couples who I believe are good fits. Now, maybe they are always on their best behavior, but after spending countless hours with these two, i can say that they treat each other so well.. they respect each other, and are just the best of friends. Lori is able to be her true self, and Matt love who she really is, and it shows so much when they are together. Can’t wait to continue working with you guys! { Desert Beauty} – Jasmine and Michael at Grey Hawk

I apologize for the delay, I was away this past week in Colorado for a beautiful wedding. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to blog this wedding before I left, so I am sure Jasmine has been impatiently tapping her foot awaiting her gorgeous wedding photos!

The two were married last Saturday at beautiful Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church in Scottsdale Arizona, and followed up with a gorgeous reception at Gray Hawk Golf Club.
