Heather and Tom met at school in Tucson, so they thought it would be the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos. I love getting to explore new places and since I only get to Tucson once or twice a year, it was a great change of scenery for me. Val and Lee are to be wed next Spring and I am super excited to see what they do with their venue! I just love their choice of colors here.. I love jewel tones against the spring desert palette, it is just so pretty!

{ Alex and Christian, part 2 } – Papago Park Engagement Photos

I shot Alex and Christian a few weeks ago for their first set of engagement photos. The first set, we did at the location Christian proposed and Alex went with a more formal feel, but she wanted something Arizona and outdoors, relaxed as well, so we decided to shoot at Papago Park with the views of the mountains, it was a great choice for them. I love so many of these photos.. hope you do to!

This past month has been so eventful, and hiking up Papago ( for those who know this is not a hike really) with pneumonia and a broken rib, was definitely an adventure. I apologize for the delays to my blog stalkers, I mean readers. We are in the process of moving and creating a fab new studio space, but construction takes a lot of time and energy, and we have had to focus a little less of our attention on editing this past week. Thus our editing and preview times have become 1-2 weeks longer than usual. We apologize for any inconvenience, but plan to be up to normal again soon! So here is one lovely couple who have been so patiently waiting to see their engagement photos! I photographed them a couple weeks ago on a fab AZ spring day at Papago Park.. We got the best sunset, don’t you agree?

I was so honored, when Christopher, who is a photographer himself, and his new fiance asked me to take their engagement photos for them. To me, being asked by another photographer is the biggest compliment, and I appreciate the chance to be able to work with others in the field. The two, who recently had their first daughter together, are planning a small intimate wedding and wanted to get some ” seasonal” feeling photos. While our original session got rained out, I think we were lucky to catch the beginnings of the peach blossoms coming in.Thank you for choosing me to work with you!
